Royale Big Bad Voodoo Daddy aka “Voodoo"

When you name a dog after your favorite musical group (Big Bad Voodoo Daddy) you better be ready to suffer the consequences and repercussions.

Those of us who spend time in the dog show world see a lot of dogs. We realize that as strange as it may seeem dogs live up to, or down to, the name given to them. Name a dog ‘Lucky’ and chances are he will have luck. Maybe all good, maybe all bad. Name a dog ‘Devil’, and well you get the idea.

Voodoo isn’t bad he just taught me the meaning of the word precocious. Voodoo believes himself to be above all questioning and makes sure everybody believes it too.

One time Big Bad Voodoo Daddy was playing, he had picked up a ball of yarn and was running around the house with it. We looked at him and said in a stern voice, "Voodoo" to which he just opened his mouth and dropped the ball of yard then walked away. As if to say you can't mean me.

Today Voodoo's greatest interest is the horse Buck Shot. He is sure that's just a big spotted dog to play with.
